One year ago, Witchrot were dredged up from the dirt and dragged into Boxcar Sound in Hamilton. The result is ‘Live in the Hammer’ a 3-sided album that hits as hard as its steeltown moniker suggests. This killer mix of ethereal vocals, crushing riffs and bludgeoning bottom end brings a molten doom metal that is harder than steel.
Featuring guest stars guitarist Daniel DeKay of infamous thrash band Exciter and a renowned Banger TV personality along with Laura C. Bates from the celebrated heavy trio Völur adding vocals and violin. Artwork including side 4 etching is by ZZ Corpse and the whole thing is mastered by the heaviest of all heads, Tony Reed.
‘Witchrot Live in the Hammer’ is available now on prestige black vinyl from Fuzzed and Buzzed Records and will be followed in the spring by the ‘Live in the Hammer’ concert video. Witchrot will be celebrating the release of ‘Live in the Hammer’ with a record release party on December 17th at the Baby G along with special guests Tumble, Slug and Occult Witches.
