Synästhesie Festival 2021
First wave of artists: Faust IV Live (Faust performing their iconic album Faust IV), Beak>, KVB, Bleib Modern, Andreya Casablanca (Gurr), Thala, New Candys and Lucy Kruger And The Lost Boys.
Berlin’s Krautrock inspired Synästhesie Festival, daringly returns for its 6th instalment this November. In the last edition in 2019, we saw the likes of a reunited Stereolab performing alongside Michael Rother (NEU!), Deerhunter, Black Lips, and A Place to Bury Strangers and the brilliant Mdou Moctar from Niger and home grown Neue Deutsche Welle chanteuse Sofia Portanet.
Continuing with the festivals dedication to spotlighting German contribution to the experimental music, Krautrock legends Faust will be performing their iconic 1973 Album ‘Faust IV’ in it entirety. Beak>, The KVB, and local heroes Bleib Modern, Andreya Casablanca (Gurr) and Thala round out the initial lineup.
Found and Curator “Olli” Alex Remzi: “If anyone can make this happen, I feel like we can. We are a tight, nimble operation that can respond to last second changes. The music scene needs this to look forward to, as do we and everyone in our community.”
