The legendary American artist Laurie Anderson is coming back to Ljubljana to perform at Cankarjev dom on June 5, on her 76th birthday.

One of America’s most renowned – and daring – creative pioneers, Laurie Anderson is celebrated primarily for her multimedia shows. She has cast herself in roles as varied as visual artist, composer, poet, photographer, filmmaker, electronics whiz, vocalist, and instrumentalist.

‘O Superman’ launched Anderson’s pop-music career in the early 1980s. Other groundbreaking releases include ‘Big Science,’ ‘Mister Heartbreak,’ and ‘Home of the Brave’.

Alongside new material, the songs and stories she tells in ‘Big Science,’ which have been accompanied by stunning visual imagery, form the basis for her latest project, ‘Let X=X0’. This June, Laurie’s third Ljubljana concert coincides with her birthday.

For her new show, Laurie has partnered with one of New York’s most prominent jazz musicians and composers of recent decades, Steven Bernstein, and his band, SexMob.
